- How big are the luminaries?
Ealain Draoi(tm) Candle Luminaries are 4 inches tall, and 3 1/2 inches across. This is large for a votive holder, but with a stunning effect. As an example, here is a picture with a music cd:
- Are they safe?
With all candle products, you should take normal common sense precautions, but our luminaries have almost a full inch of solid glass on the bottoms. This makes the luminary hard to tip over. The materials for the iridescent or metallic finish also have insulating properties. With the candle burning, you can comfortably hold it in your hands. (we have customers buy Christmas styles to hold while caroling!) - What size candle do I put in them?
Our luminaries will take any standard or "fat" votive candle. We do not recommend "tall" votives, only because the candle light won't shine through the design portion properly. For the convenience of our customers we include a votive candle FREE! - I've never seen anything like these before, where do you get them?
We MAKE them! We have been delighting customers since 1994. We have standard designs and also take custom request - because we make them ourselves we can create any design/artwork/logo you might wish. - How do you decide what designs to make?
Mostly by customer requests. A great many of our luminary designs started as custom orders for customers, when complete, we liked the design so much that we added it to our line. - What materials are the luminaries made with?
We start out with glass. The design is hand colored. Then we layer 5 different materials by hand, to create the unique and beautiful iridescent or metallic finish. All materials used are completely non-toxic. - How do I clean my luminary?
Because the inside of the luminary is smooth glass, they are easy to clean. We recommmend that you pop it in your freezer for 10 minutes, and the wax will pop right out. The exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth, and dried. - If I place an order, and pay with a credit card, is it really safe?

It depends on what we have in stock at any given time. We have over 300 different designs and it's impossible to have every one in stock at all times. However 90% of our orders ship out within 2 weeks. If you need an item by a certain date, please let us know in the comment section of the shopping cart, if we can't make your date, we'll let you know immediately. - If I place an order, and pay with a credit card, is it really safe?

Ealain Draoi has a liberal return policy. If for any reason, you are not happy with your luminaries, please return within 30 and we will refund the cost of the luminary. - Why didn't you answer the question *I* want to know?
